Who
We Are
Axis is a modern and professional learning centre offering extra-curricular tuition for Gr 1 to 12 Mathematics and Afrikaans, Accounting and Science, all by qualified and experienced tutors.
We pride ourselves in creating a warm, safe and learning friendly environment where we focus on individuality and cultivating a love for learning in a non-rigid manner.
Students work independently and are tutored in small groups focusing on the areas that require improvement. Our teaching methods focus on the why and the how thereby creating understanding behind the concepts and allowing students to correctly apply the knowledge learnt.

Building Confidence
Using creativity and motivation we allow students to learn through all three sensory methods thereby enabling them to learn in the manner which is best for them. We aim to build students’ confidence in their abilities and show them how to ‘learn to love to learn’ thereby achieving their full potential.

Our Curriculum
The teaching content, material and notes are all written and complied by Kirsten Peter (maths), owner and qualified and experienced teacher, and Danielle Perold (Afrikaans).
We also offer an online system for all Maths students to provide additional support and consolidate the concepts covered in class.
Parents are hereby also able to track their child’s progress and receive reports on the work done.
Twice a year, exam preparation courses are run. These courses cover exam techniques, content covered throughout the terms and going through numerous past papers.
